Wednesday French class started with a little review of the family members : Grand- père, Gand-mère, Père/Papa, Mère/Maman, Soeur, Frère et Bébé (good job kids !).
Afterward, we worked on p. 17 "Le jour et la nuit"/The day, and the night of Maternelle, the children had to differentiate between day and night, wich activity is during the day, and which one is done at night time. We will work more on this concept next week.
We also studied p. 18 of Maternelle, "Distinguer b, d, p, q,"/Distinguish letters closed to each other by their graphs.
Then, we learned new vocabulary "Au jardin public" in the book "First hundred words in French".
The last 15 minutes of the class, we had our relaxing and fun time, the children colored a Halloween drawing, and put little Halloween stamps on a little hand fan that I gave them.
Homework for Wednesday, November 5: please review the vocabulary that we learned so far in the book "First hundred words in French" (Le salon, Les vêtements, Le petit déjeuner, Dans la cuisine, Les jouets, Chez Gand-mère et Grand- père, Au jardin public). Parents, if you need help with the translation of the words, use the stickers at the end of the book, but don't detach the stickers, we'll do that in class when we'll be done with the book, it we'll be a little quiz, thank you.
